Fertilizer cannot normally be absorbed through the leaf or the fruit. Yet we spray a lot in professional agriculture and horticulture. How is that possible? A product is then added to the plant food which we call wetting agent. A wetting agent changes the surface tension of the leaf so that the nutrients can easily slide into the leaf.
All Metrop fertilizers already contain a wetting agent as standard. This means that every Metrop plant food can also be given as foliar nutrition.
In fact, if it can be fed as foliar feed, the plants can absorb the nutrients even more effectively and the plant will grow even larger.
That is why we advise you to spray the plant food in addition to the regular growing schedule for an extra boost.
Metrop Calgreen: Calgreen mainly consists of elements that build the cell walls. Calcium is a very important nutrient for this. However, Calcium is also an element that is difficult to move within a plant.
However, if we can give the Calcium with the other necessary nutrients where we prefer to have heavy strong cells (namely the buds), this will result in an extreme increase in weight.
That is why we recommend mixing Calgreen 15ml 1x per week with 5L water and spraying the buds very wet with it every week. The Ec of this mixture is very high between 3.0 - 4.0 mS, but because the quality of the plant food is so high, the plant has no problem with that.
It is important to start spraying from the first moment the first buds emerge. This must be repeated every week for the new plant cells that have developed up to 3 days before harvest.
Metrop fertilizer MR2: We also recommend spraying the MR2 fertilizer on the plants once or twice a week. Potassium is the "thick" maker for a top or fruit, especially when it is given in the ratio 1 to 2 with phosphor.
We also advise MR2 to mix 15ml / 5L water.
We recommend spraying eg Calgreen on the weekend and then the MR2 on Tuesdays and Thursdays. When spraying MR2 twice a week, you must keep in mind that the Ec in the medium does not rise.
WHAT YOU SHOULD NEVER DO!
You should never spray in the dark, always just with all the lights on. You should never change the pH of the spray mixture. Foliar fertilizer needs a different pH value than plant food in the medium. Just mix, shake and spray. You should never reuse an older mixture. Always make fresh again. You should never mix the plant nutrients with each other or with other products. Spray separately from each other.
Only most poison types can be mixed with the products before spraying. It even turns out that the wetting agent in the products also makes the poison work better.
