Plants used for cuttings or seed production need a different nutrient requirement than
plants that just need to grow or thrive. These motherplants have to grow
continuously and recover from the cut resulting in an increasingly weaker
plant.
Keeping motherplants is therefore a separate technique.
With the Metrop MAM biomineral motherplants nutrition you make the
mother plants strong and longer-lasting, so that the plant cuttings are also
strong and longer-lasting.
Together with Metrop Calgreen, Root+ and AminoXtrem, Metrop MAM is a 4-part cutting plant fertilizer line that makes strong plants for a long use with the least possible stress for the motherplant.
After 2 weeks of use you will already cut more cuttings from your
motherplants.
Metrop MAM motherplant fertilizer is a modern biomineral plant fertilizer that is
well balanced and always biodegradable and absorbable. Metrop MAM
motherplants fertilizer is an emulsion fertilizer that ensures maximum plant
seed and cuttings production.
The Metrop MAM biomineral cutting plant fertilizer is a high quality plant nutrition line with all the macro and micro elements that are needed for plants that are continuously planted.

Function:
To maximise the production potential of crops at risk of damage from stress
conditions caused by high temperatures, soil conditions, moisture and
disease.
Metrop MAM fertilizer is formulated to supply seedlings and more mayture
plants with essential nutrients. Metrop MAM fertilizer also includes organic
material derived from a single seaweed variety which has proven beneficial
effects upon plants by stimulating root development.
Applications of Metrop MAM fertilizer will promote greater root biomass and
therefore maximise utilisation of moisture and nutrients.
Description:
Metrop MAM fertilizer is a highly concentrated emulsion containing macro and
chelated micro elements.
The organic material is seaweed derived.

Directions for use:
The spray tank should be filled with half of the required amount of
water.
After shaking the container, measure the required amount of Metrop MAM and
add to the tank whilst maintaining constant agitation.
Add remaining water to correct dilution. Spray.
Dilution: Recommended water rate is 500-1500 litres per hectare.
Always shake container before opening.
| Crop | Lts/Ha | ml/100 liters | Number and timing of registrations |
|---|---|---|---|
| Potatoes | 2.0-3.0 | 500 | 1-2 applications early in the crop cycle. |
| Vegetables | 2.0-2.5 | 200 | 2-4 applications after transplanting |
| Fruits and vines | 1.5-3.0 | 100-200 | Begin before flower formation, repeat every 15 days. |
| Citrus | 1.5-3.0 | 100-200 | First application 3 weeks after transplantation. |
| Grains | 2,5 | 250 | 1-2 applications. |
| Sugar beets | 3.0 | 600 | 1-2 applications early in the crop cycle. |
| Ornamental plants | 1.0-2.0 | 50-100 | Use small doses on young or sensitive plants. |
Tank Mixing Compatibility:
Metrop MAM fertilizer is compatible with most, but not all, pesticides,
growth regulators and micronutrients with regard to physical tank mixing and
biological effect on the crop. However, Metrop cannot accept any liability
for any loss or damage as not all pesticides have been tested and because
the efficacy of any mix will depend on, among other factors, the pesticide
concerned, crop conditions, growth stage, weather, and volumes of water
used.
Precautions:
Metrop MAM fertilizer should be stored in frost free conditions with optimum
storage range between 5-40 Cº.
Metrop MAM fertilizer is a non-hazardous and non flammable folair
fertiliser.
Gloves and face shield should be worn when handling the concentrate.
Packing:
Metrop MAM fertilizer is available in HDPE drums of 250ml, 1L, 5L, 10L
capacity.
Drums are fitted with TE closures. 1000 Litre mini-bulk available.
Yes, you can use MAM motherplant fertilizer on soil and coco substrates. There is a distinction between buffered coco substrate and sterilised coco substrate. With sterilised coco substrate, treat it as a hydroponic medium and provide the nutrient solution 6 times a day. With buffered coco, you only provide the nutrient solution when the plant needs it.
Yes, you can use MAM motherplant fertilizer with hydroponic growing systems. For DWC Deep Water Culture systems, use the DWC culture schedule.
Yes, you need to adjust the pH value when growing with MAM. MAM already adjusts these values in your nutrient solution. Usually when mixing, the pH value is within the ideal range. However, tap water does not have the same pH values everywhere. We recommend a pH value between 5.4 and 6.2 for your nutrient solution. You can adjust this with pH Plus and pH Min.
That depends on how you store the MAM motherplant fertilizer product. It is highly concentrated and if the water shrinks slightly due to cold, not all the dissolved elements fit into the water and are squeezed out. If the seal has been broken for a long time, water molecules will slowly evaporate and the same thing will happen. If you store the bottle at room temperature off the ground with the seal closed, the product will have a shelf life of 10 years. If the seal is broken and you want to store the product for a long time, place a piece of aluminium foil between the bottle and the cap and store the product upside down. Shake very well when using.
MAM 20-20-8+TE can last at least six months, provided the pH value remains between 5.4 and 6.2 and a circulation pump in the nutrient tank keeps the nutrient solution moving.
Yes, MAM motherplant fertilizer is suitable as a foliar feed. However, there are a few different rules for foliar feeding using MAM. You can find this in the blog foliar feed.
The NPK and micro element needs for a mother plant are completely different than for a normal plant. This ideal NPK-TE formula for motherplants in the MAM has been developed through SAP analysis of plant leaves.
No, MAM is a BioMineral product. Pure organic always results in a shortage of essential minerals, resulting in less growth and flowering.
Yes, MAM can be mixed with other products. However, when a Calcium product is mixed with the MAM, the pH value of the mixing water should never exceed 6.5.
Depends, do they have roots or not? And if the plant cuttings have roots, we recommend only foliar feed.
